Marina is a Hometown Hero because...
Greenwich Hospital in CT recognizes that teamwork is vital in providing exceptional patient care and that non-medical support staff, who often go unnoticed, are critical to that mission. With this in mind, the Environmental Services department created “Giving Gratitude” to encourage employees in supporting functions to show one another appreciation. Members of the program print paper hearts and distribute them throughout the hospital. Filomena Buscetto and Marina Prorokovic understand that a respectful, appreciative working environment benefits everyone. Every day they write notes of thanks and recognition to colleagues; sometimes up to five a day. Last year, Last year Prorokovic wrote over 800. Buscetto and Prorokovic understand that a good deed leads to another.
