Kenneth in a word... Compassionate
Kenneth is a Hometown Hero because...
After 15-year-old Kenneth Piccolo read about a young born with a rare disease called Myotubular Myopathy, and feeling fortunate for his own good health, he knew he needed to do something to help.
He met with 5-year-old Anthony Katz and his family and received their permission to fundraise in Anthony’s honor. His goals included fundraising to help the family make the needed improvements to their home to accommodate Anthony’s large wheelchair, bringing the community of Monroe together to work as a team and inspiring others to help make a difference and volunteer.
Through his hard work and dedication and with the support of his community, Kenny raised more than $11,000 for the Katz family and also saw that a special day in the town be dedicated in Anthony’s honor.
