Garfield is the Captain of the Brooklyn Disaster Action Team. He has been volunteering with the American Red Cross in Greater New York for over 8 years. Before that, Garfield was a part of the Jamaican Red Cross involved in Mass Care and First Aid. This past year, Garfield was the volunteer partner of the Senior Director of Response, Waddy Gonzalez. He is also a Sergeant in training with the 67th Precinct Auxiliary Police.
