Alan in a word... Willing
Alan is a Hometown Hero because...
Alan Nemer has been with the Chapter for one year and has shown a willingness and eagerness to learn and work far beyond the average new volunteer. Additionally, he has become a valued asset and inspiration to others. His original intent was to come in for one half day each week; however, his passion for helping others has him frequently coming in to work more often.
More about Alan...
He has assisted in work details: cot cleaning, inspecting motor vehicles including required ERV inspections. He assisted with the CONEX and U-Haul inventory projects.
He worked with Steve Brown on the Shelter Trailer project. This required extensive travel throughout the chapter response area. He also aided in the restocking of the shelter trailers
He reorganized the U-haul Disaster Storage area, making the inventory readily accessible and neatly stocked.
He participated in the Jan 27, 2007 CDREE as MSS/TRS (Transportation officer). He performed extremely well dispatching ERVs, cars, truck, trailer, their required staff and establishing courier routes.
